BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in Austria, I early on discovered my passion for opera, theatre and the Arts. After successfully completing the Foundation Course in Art and Design at Kunstschule Liechtenstein in 2012 and exploring the adventure of German Linguistic Studies for a year, I started studying Theatre Design at Mozarteum University Salzburg. While receiving in-depth training in conceptualizing and planning stage and exhibition designs, I worked on various university theatre productions as a costume designer and maker. These experiences finally fueled my desire to fully focus my education and artistic expression on the arts of costume making.
In 2016, I moved to London and started studying Costume Interpretation at Wimbledon College of Arts. There, I deepened my knowledge in various crafts of the costume making process and developed an ever-growing love for fabric dyeing, textile print, pattern manipulation and tailoring. In July 2019 I graduated as a professional costume maker for Theatre and Screen.
In 2017, I collaborated with costume designer Anna Schöttl on the short film 'The Feast' by award-winning director Gaëlle Mourre. Following my passion for opera and its unique way of story-telling, I recently gained invaluable insight into the genre, assisting costume designer Tanja Hofmann for various productions at Salzburg Festival and at Opéra Bastille Paris during the seasons 2017-2019.
Most recently, I have focused my training on the art of bespoke tailoring, completing a ABC Level 5 Diploma in Bespoke Cutting and Tailoring at the Hirsch Tailoring Academy in Macclesfield, UK. From there, I am now following my calling as a freelance designer, dressmaker and bespoke tailor.
